ATLAS, association ayant pour vocation de promouvoir la traduction littéraire, propose un nouveau programme d'ateliers - Candidatez jusqu'au 15 octobre 2017 !

Chères  traductrices et chers traducteurs, chers amis de la traduction, 

ATLAS est une association qui a pour vocation de promouvoir la traduction littéraire. Elle propose des résidences de traduction, des aides aux traducteurs, organise des manifestations littéraires et s’emploie à diffuser auprès du public le rôle culturel de la traduction. La formation constitue une part importante de son projet.

Aujourd’hui, ATLAS - en partenariat avec  avec les universités de Yale (Connecticut), Stirling (Ecosse) et avec l'EHESS (Paris) -  propose  un nouveau programme d’ateliers d’une semaine spécifiquement conçus pour favoriser les traductions entre anglais et français dans le champ de la recherche et apporter à de jeunes chercheurs un approfondissement de leurs compétences en traduction..

La clôture de l'appel à candidature est  fixée au 15 octobre   2017   pour  les  4 ateliers : « Traduire la sociologie et l’anthropologie »  ;   « Traduire la philosophie »  ; « Traduire l’Histoire » et « Traduire  la pensée critique »,  nous vous serions reconnaissants de bien vouloir relayer l’information autour de vous le plus rapidement possible.   Vous trouverez l’information en pièces jointes et sur notre site et sur notre blog : www.atlas-citl.org

Dear translators, dear friends of translation, 

ATLAS is an  organization whose aim is to promote literary translation. It provides residencies in translation, support for translators, organizes literary events and endeavours to raise awareness of the cultural impact of translation among the general public. An important part of its project is training and development.

ATLAS - in partnership  with the universities of Yale (Connecticut), Stirling (Scotland)  and EHESS (Paris) -  is now launching a new program of one-week workshops, specifically dedicated to fostering the flow of translations between English and French in several fields of research, and designed to enable young researchers to develop their skills in translation.

As the closing dates  for applications is 15 october  2017 for  the four workshops : “Translating Sociology and Anthropology” ; “Translating Philosophy” ; “Translating History” and “Translating Critical Thought” we would be most  grateful if you could disseminate  this  information  within your network as soon as possible.
